The title is likely a nod to Jim Blinn's highly influential book (more like a collection of articles), A Trip Down The Graphics Pipeline[1]. That was the first book I read on 3D graphics that helped me to actually intuitively understand fundamental 3D graphics concepts.

Title is a reference to Jim Blinn's excellent (although a bit dated) collection of 3D graphics articles, "A Trip Down the Graphics Pipeline" [1]. A clear, useful, and often humorous take on various computer graphics topics, including the legacy "fixed function" 3D pipeline. Highly recommended!

Rats, I thought this meant that this book:

was being freely released:(

Great book, for those who did graphics programming in the 90s, Jim Blinn and Michael Abrash had some of the best graphics related writing to consume.

Since I've already derailed this thread, I might as well mention another Jim Blinn book as being a good read.

Not very relevant today, but a good read all the same!
