For something less academic I highly recommend Underbelly[1] especially the first 3 seasons and "Underbelly: Infiltration"[2]. While very entertaining, it's accurate on events and shows how much AFP are the most powerful and dangerous gang in town (no matter whether you're in Queensland, NSW or Victoria).
It's telling that the Wikipedia page for ACIC and AFP have not a single mention of corruption.
