I learned Lua in the summer of ~2010 with the WoW addon book from the creator of Deadly Boss Mods https://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Lua-World-Warcraft-Add-ons/... It's a bit outdated now but WoW still supports Lua addons. And it was a useful experience, still today. Not just the language itself but how to build mods for games
