Felten's book ( http://www.amazon.com/Hows-Your-Drink-Cocktails-Drinking/dp/... ) has a good overview of all the classic cocktails, and in general is an interesting read. I have yet to try the Sazerac, having 3 bottles of rye at home... Shame :(

Also, the "original" pre-rye Sazerac was done with Cognac, gotta try that at some point as well.
