Richard Kosh wrote a book on it. I think it is a very good set of guidelines. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Living-80-20-Way-Succeed/dp/18578833...

While I have modled my life after the advice in the book; I have found it was a great 'starter.' Ultimately, 80/20 living is about reduction - less is more - it is just that you focus in the high impact / high value stuff.. and since your values change - so do the things you will spend time reducing.

Additionally, I have had several life coaches now - each which shared many of their own tricks that I have found great value in. So I use those also.

However, if you look at my 'life.org' org-mode file - you will find that I still structure my life around the Pareto principle.
